Damali was an established lash artist operating with solid technique but no design framework. Her work was consistent — but interchangeable. The Poised Lux system gave her the analytical foundation she did not know she was missing. What changed was not her skill. It was how she sees.
Where were you before Poised Lux?
Before working with Poised Lux I was doing more standard, cookie cutter lash sets — classic, hybrid, and volume. My work was solid but I felt like I was creating very similar looks on most clients. I was not fully customizing based on each client's features so it felt like something was missing in terms of intention and individuality.
What specifically shifted?
The biggest shift for me was learning how to approach each client using the mapping score. It completely changed how I see the face and eyes. Instead of defaulting to the same styles I now take the time to analyze each client and design a set that is tailored specifically to them. Now I am much more intentional with my mapping, styling, and overall approach. It feels more like designing than just doing a service.
How has it affected your business?
It has definitely elevated both my work and my client experience. My sets feel more refined and customized and my clients can see and feel that difference. I have also become more confident during consultations because I can clearly explain my process and why certain styles work best for them. Overall it has helped me stand out more as an artist and build stronger trust with my clients.
